Meet Mrs. O'Sullivan

Hello! My name is Molly O’Sullivan and I have been one of the two learning specialists at Wheelock School for fourteen years! I graduated from Providence College with a degree in Elementary and Special Education and then went on to pursue a master’s degree in Literacy and Language from Framingham State College. I live just down the road in Norfolk with my husband, 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, exercise and read.
The roles and responsibilities as a learning specialist include the assessment, diagnosis, intervention and instruction of children with learning disabilities. Students in both the second and third grade come to the learning center to receive small group, specialized instruction in English Language Arts and/or mathematics. We also support children in their regular education classrooms in writing, reading and math. We work with classroom teachers to ensure that every student find success in the classroom.
